Round Up

Still some challenging rides left before the "season" ends - Spud Riley and Manchester Century amongst them. A few of us enjoyed a very sociable 10 mile TT last night organised by Manchester Wheelers. Will have to make this a regular outing for 2008 as they run from May through to August. Go to http://www.wheelers.org/ to check the results (for 23/08/07). Storming ride from Patrick and a strong showing all round from the Chorlton Velo Crew. Great course, friendly orgnisers and good marshalling made it a memorable evening.

Don't forget our track night in September - contact Konrad for more details if you haven't signed up already. should be a good night on the newly resurfaced track.

Tour photos

Follow the link below for photos of the crash involving the labrador. You've probably seen it already on TV, but look what it does to his wheel!

Sunday Rides

Over the summer (and until further notice), the Sunday rides will start from the usual place (Truth) at 07:30.

I'm sure turnout will be affected by the summer holidays, but we should be able to keep things ticking over until after August. Obviously those of you prepping for races or big rides (Pendle Pedal?) will be getting the miles in one way or another!

More TDF Photos

See below for some new photos taken at the TDF London prologue by Angus . He was over in another part of the course, and due to the crowds and the fact that there were only a few points to cross the road, we didn't get the chance to meet up. He obviously had a good vantage point though...

Keep checking back to this site as I'll update with new photos from time to time.

Cheers

Chris

New photos

On the right you'll see some of my pics from last weekend's visit to London to see the TDF team presentation and prologue (along with a few other "gems"!). Fantastic atmosphere and massive crowds made it a trip to remember. Crowds were 3 and 4 deep at the barriers along the prologue route, so watched quite a lot on the big screens too.

If you fancy seeing some more pics let me know and I'll email you a few of the better ones (i.e. where the cyclist is not about 5 miles away!)

Chris

PS: check out www.grahamwatson.com for some great rider shots from the prologue and updated pics from each TDF stage
